Interlibrary Loan

In the event that you would like to check out a book, audiobook, or DVD that we do not have in our collection, you may request an interlibrary loan from another library. The cost for this service is $1.50 per item. You must have a valid library card in good standing from the Belmond Public Library in order to use this service.

To request an interlibrary loan, call or visit the library. To make your request, please have the title and author. ISBN is appreciated but not necessary.

As a courtesy, we are unable to request new releases or items recently published in the past year. Items may take several days or weeks to arrive at our library once approved. The individual requesting the item will be notified by Belmond Public Library staff once the item has arrived. Please ensure that you have the correct contact information when requesting the item to eliminate any delays.

Did you know...

Belmond Public Library is part of a consortium of libraries. With your library card you can check out from other libraries in our consortium to include Rowan, Clarion, Fort Dodge, Algona, Garner, and more! If you are in the area of one of our fellow consortium libraries, you can check out items from their location.
